Cornwall Perimeter Highway project update – November 11 to 18

Le contenu suivant est seulement disponible en anglais.

Construction on the Cornwall Perimeter Highway project will focus on paving and curbing in the coming week, with traffic flow occasionally reduced from four to two lanes.
Traffic will flow through the new roundabouts at Maypoint Road and Poplar Island and on the main portion of the Trans-Canada Highway. Temporary roads installed for this project are no longer in use.

• The flow of traffic may be directed to one or the other side of the median as paving is carried out. Travelers should watch for directional signs when posted.
• Travel on the Trans Canada Highway will be maintained in both directions but may be reduced to one lane in each direction at times. This may result in delays for the traveling public.
• Motorists should consider using alternative routes when entering and leaving Charlottetown, especially during morning and evening commuting hours.
Drivers are asked to be alert and to operate with concern for the safety of workers, pedestrians and their fellow motorists. The Department of Transportation, Infrastructure and Energy appreciates the patience of the traveling public during delays caused by construction.
Phase 1 of the Cornwall Perimeter Highway is proceeding on schedule, with completion expected by the end of this month.
