Government boards welcome more Islanders

Le contenu suivant est seulement disponible en anglais.

Through Engage PEI, Islanders continue to get involved on provincial government agencies, boards, and commissions.

This summer, we welcome Kim Griffin who will be replacing John Bell at the Prince Edward Island Liquor Control Commission.

The Employment Standards Board also welcomes a new member from Summerside, Elizabeth Noonan.

Members of the PEI Liquor Control Commission will share their knowledge and experience as members of the Cannabis Management Corporation Board.

“The engagement Islanders have towards community and our province shines time and time again,” said Premier Wade MacLauchlan. “Through Engage PEI, hundreds of Islanders have become involved on a number of government agencies, boards and commissions. The collective wealth of knowledge and information Islanders have shared over the years has reinforced us as the Mighty Island.”

“My many thanks go out to Islanders for their continued engagement and I encourage everyone to check the upcoming vacancies on Engage PEI. No matter your interests, there is certainly an agency, board or commission that could lean on your expertise.”

Some of the boards currently seeking new members are the Acadian and Francophone Community Advisory Committee, the Canadian Free Trade Agreement Compliance and Appellate Panel and Youth Futures Council.
