Islanders invited to Health PEI’s annual meeting in person, online

Whether in person or on the web, Islanders who attend Health PEI’s annual general meeting can give their input and participate in quality discussions about health care on Prince Edward Island.

The meeting is this evening, October 5, from 6:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the Credit Union Place in Summerside. Islanders not attending in person can watch via live stream on Health PEI’s website at www.healthpei.ca/annualgeneralmeeting.

“Our annual general meeting is a unique opportunity for Health PEI leadership to engage with Islanders in meaningful conversations about our health care system,” Health PEI Board Chair Phyllis Horne said. “We all have an important role to play in shaping the future of our health care system, which is why it is so important for us to hear directly from Islanders.”

Under the theme "Putting People First," the evening’s agenda will include presentations by the board chair, Community Health Engagement Committee chairs, acting CEO, and executive director of financial services. Islanders can also ask questions during an open panel discussion with acting CEO Denise Lewis Fleming and members of the organization’s senior management group.
