Islanders share skills & knowledge through Engage PEI
Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island – Islanders continue to dedicate their time and expertise with provincial government agencies, boards, and commissions.
Two provincial government boards welcomed four new members in June:
Emergency Medical Services Board
• Darrell Chaisson
• Christine Drummond (re-appointment)
• Alan Toombs (re-appointment)
Social Assistance Appeal Board
• Brenda Doyle
“Islanders’ generous nature and dedication to our communities continues to impress. It is that energy and effort that makes us the Mighty Island,” said Premier Wade MacLauchlan. “The participation and knowledge that Islanders share with our agencies, boards and commissions help our province live up and surpass its potential. I want to thank these Islanders for their tireless work and I encourage others to consider sharing skills and voices through Engage PEI.”
Up to 20 vacancies become available every month. Some of the boards currently seeking new members are the Acadian and Francophone Community Advisory Committee, the Canadian Free Trade Agreement Compliance and Appellate Panel and Workers Compensation Appeal Tribunal.
