The Island Regulatory and Appeals Commission approved the following unscheduled petroleum pricing decision, effective 12:01 a.m., Thursday, February 1, 2018:
- There will be no change in the price of gasoline, furnace oil, stove oil or diesel at this time; and
- Propane prices will increase by 2.2 cents per litre (cpl) for Superior Propane, by 2.8 cpl for Irving Energy Distribution and Marketing, and by 2.4 cpl for Kenmac Energy Inc.
Pump prices for regular unleaded gasoline at self-serve outlets will continue to range from 119.1 cpl to 120.3 cpl. Maximum before tax propane prices will now range from 88.5 cpl to 88.9 cpl.
The maximum price for furnace oil will continue at 90.5 cpl, plus tax.
Increased wholesale prices for propane since the Commission’s last adjustment necessitate the price increases announced today.
The Commission’s next scheduled price adjustment will be on February 15, 2018.
