Province mourns loss of fishers DesRoches and Getson

Agriculture and Fisheries Minister Robert Henderson offers his heartfelt condolences to the families, friends, and community over the tragic loss of Glen DesRoches and Maurice “Moe“ Getson. 

“No words or deeds can ever truly erase the pain of loss, and we hope that all those affected by this tragedy may somehow find comfort,” Agriculture and Fisheries Minister Robert Henderson said. “This loss has made a tremendous impact on those in the community, fishing industry, and province. 

“Incidents such as these demonstrate that fishing can be a dangerous profession,” he said. “Their families can hopefully draw strength from the knowledge that our entire province is here for them during this most difficult time.”
