Pesticide Vendor Exams
You must successfully complete a written exam to obtain a Pesticide Vendor Certificate. This certificate allows you to provide information and recommendations to your customers concerning the use and purchase of a domestic or non-domestic pesticide. A pass mark of 75 per cent is required. All pesticide exams are administered by the Department.
What are the requirements?
You must be 18 years of age to write a pesticide vendor exam.
What do I need to do to write an exam?
Before writing a pesticide exam, you need to:
- study the Domestic Vendor Safety Training Manual or the Non-Domestic (Commercial) Vendor Safety Training Manual, depending on what class of pesticide the business you work for sells; and
- contact the Department at (902) 368-5599 to register for a date and time.
What are the fees?
There is no fee to write an exam.
$75 is the cost for a Pesticide Vendor Certificate. There is no HST. Payments may be made by cash, cheque or credit card. Make cheques payable to the Minister of Finance.
