Agricultural Insurance Corporation Board of Directors
The P.E.I. Agricultural Insurance Corporation is a Provincial Crown Corporation and has a board of directors that oversees the Corporation’s activities. The role of the Board includes providing advice regarding production insurance policy and administration, review of claims, reinsurance plans, and mediation requirements. The Department of Agriculture values and supports diversity in representation on its agencies, boards and commissions and encourages applicants from across the Island’s diverse population.
To ensure representation across agricultural sectors on the Board, the Agricultural Insurance Corporation is seeking applications from individuals with experience in grains and cereals.

Anti-Racism Table
The Anti-Racism Table is seeking individuals interested in advancing legislation and policy changes related to education, justice, health systems, employment opportunities, social and or housing programs and services. The Anti-Racism Table will make recommendations to the PEI government to review practices and activities through a culturally inclusive lens.
Members of the Anti-Racism Table will be appointed for terms of up to three years. Members may be eligible for reappointment.
Members receive $73 per meeting. The chairperson receives $113 per meeting. Travel and necessary costs are reimbursed for members of the council.
Preference will be given to people with involvement in ethnocultural organizations, people with lived experience, professional experience and people who identify as members of under-represented or systemically excluded groups. Additionally, knowledge of government programs and services related to areas of social policy such as health, education, justice and social programs is considered an asset.

Council of the Institute of the Prince Edward Island Professional Planners
The Department of Housing, Land and Communities is soliciting applications from residents of the province with knowledge of the Registered Professional Planners Act but are not members of the PEI Institute of Professional Planners.
Council of the Institute of the Prince Edward Island Professional Planners shall manage and control the affairs and business of the Prince Edward Island Institute of Professional Planners.
The Council is currently seeking applications for members at large.
Heritage Places Advisory Board
The Department of Fisheries, Tourism, Sport and Culture is seeking applications from Island residents interested in serving on the Heritage Places Advisory Board. The role of this board is to advise and assist the Minister on all matters relating to the protection of heritage places and, in particular:
- the development of heritage objectives and policies, including official plans;
- the recommendation of criteria for eligibility for inclusion in the register of heritage places;
- the identification, adoption and assessment of specific initiatives;
- the promotion of understanding and appreciation of heritage places;
- the creation and use of mechanisms to ensure that the views of the public in respect of heritage conservation matters are secured and that the participation of the public is enhanced.
Members are appointed to serve terms of 3 years and are eligible for reappointment.

Regulated Health Professions Councils
Would you like to support a health profession by volunteering on one of the regulated councils as a public representative? The role of Regulated Health Profession Councils is to regulate the practice of the health profession, participate in discipline proceedings and other duties. As a public representative, your role helps provide accountability to the public for the regulated health professions.
Councils under the Regulated Health Professions Act include:
- Council of the Prince Edward Island College of Occupational Therapists
- Council of the College of Allied Health Professionals of Prince Edward Island
- Council of the College of Audiology and Speech-Language Pathology of Prince Edward Island
- Council of the College of Counselling Therapy of Prince Edward Island
- Council of the College of Dental Hygienists of Prince Edward Island
- Council of the College of Dietitians of Prince Edward Island
- Council of the College of Licensed Practical Nurses of Prince Edward Island
- Council of the College of Massage Therapists of Prince Edward Island
- Council of the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Prince Edward Island
- Council of the College of Registered Nurses and Midwives of Prince Edward Island
- Council of the Prince Edward Island College of Pharmacy

Rural Communities Council
The Department of Fisheries, Tourism, Sport and Culture is currently seeking Island residents interested in serving as a member of the Rural Communities Council.
The role of the Council is to provide advice and make recommendations to Government regarding rural topics related to the themes of people, communities, the environment and wellness and explore opportunities for development in rural PEI.
Specifically, members of the Rural Communities Council:
- examines, discusses and reviews Government strategies through a rural lens to identify the potential rural impacts of Government policies and decisions;
- identifies opportunities to enhance rural population growth and recommends ways to improve inclusiveness within rural PEI communities;
- engages with industry, academia, Government and local partners to understand the complex issues related to people, communities, wellness and the environment in PEI;
- provides advice to Government with regards to the issues identified by the Regional Economic Advisory Councils including (but not limited to): education, healthcare, housing, the labour market, PEI’s aging population, and the out migration of PEI youth; and
- collaborates with communities, municipalities, and groups such as Partnership for Growth, development corporations (including Summerside and Charlottetown), Rural Action Centres, and Premier's Youth Council to promote community development opportunities that support regional growth.
Rural community leaders and residents who are passionate about rural PEI and interested in providing their expertise from a variety of backgrounds are welcome to apply. Typically, there will be 4-6 meetings per year.
Appointments will be for two (2) years, renewable once. Some initial appointments may be made for three (3) years.
Members serve on a volunteer basis without remuneration but are reimbursed for expenses incurred in serving on the Council.
