Bone Scan
- The exam duration for this test is 15 minutes initially for explanation of the procedure and injection of radiopharmaceutical.
- You will then be instructed by the technologist to return 2 to 4 hours after the injection for your bone scan.
HIDA Scan
- Do not have anything to eat or drink 4 hours before your scheduled scan.
- The procedure will take between 1 to 2 hours.
Meckel’s Scan
- Do not have anything to eat or drink 4 hours before your scheduled scan.
- The procedure will take between 1 to 2 hours.
