Provincial Youth Cyberviolence Prevention Strategy
The PEI Youth Cyberviolence Prevention Strategy is a province-wide plan to help prevent and protect young people from cyberbullying and other online harms. It aims to build safer online spaces by focusing on prevention, education, support for youth and families, and stronger coordination among schools, communities, and government. The strategy was shaped by research and input from youth, parents and caregivers, community organizations, government departments and agencies, and police organizations. It includes six areas of action that focus on building skills, encouraging positive online behaviour, improving supports, strengthening policies, elevating youth voices, and establishing the partnerships needed to support coordinated, cross-sector implementation across the province.
