A new testing site for PEI residents who are essential workers, including truckers and health care workers, is being established near the Confederation Bridge in Borden. It will open at noon on Monday, July 13.

Any essential worker from the province who is returning to Prince Edward Island after travelling outside the Atlantic bubble due to their work will be able to drop-in to the testing site to be swabbed for COVID-19.

Testing is available from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. daily. Essential workers will be given direction on how to access the service as soon as they cross the bridge and are screened.

Essential workers who arrive outside the testing centre hours can also be tested at the Eastlink Centre testing site in Charlottetown or at the Slemon Park site in Summerside by appointment. To schedule appointments, essential workers must call 1-855-354-4358 and choose option 2.
