Prince Edward Home’s Light House Cove household declares outbreak of COVID-19
The Light House Cove household at Charlottetown’s Prince Edward Home has declared an outbreak of COVID-19. This is in addition to the previously announced outbreak at the Red Oak Heights household.
During this time, visitors to these households are restricted to three partners-in-care for each resident, with only one partner-in-care present at a time. Visitor restrictions will remain in place until the outbreak is declared over.
Admissions to the Light House Cove and Red Oak Heights household will be limited to people with recent or current COVID-19 infections and on a case-by-case basis.
All visitors to Health PEI facilities are reminded they must wear a mask at all times, including at patient/resident bedside, and follow posted COVID-19 safety protocols. Visitors are also asked to stay away if they are experiencing any symptoms of respiratory illness.
