Employ PEI is an employment program developed to help employers create long term employment opportunities for job seekers. An employer receives a temporary wage subsidy to provide on-the-job training for a new full-time employee. If you are hiring a new employee who lacks the work experience necessary for the position, we can subsidize up to 50% of the wages to a maximum of 20 weeks. Any community or organization with an Automated External Defibrillator (AED) for public use is encouraged to register the life-saving device with Emergency Health Services. The AED registry allows bystanders and emergency responders to quickly locate the closest defibrillator when someone calls in a sudden cardiac arrest.
