AgriStability Enrolment, Deadlines and Fee Payments

To ensure eligibility for AgriStability coverage, a producer must meet the enrolment and submission deadlines established for the program year.

March 31: Deadline to apply for an Interim Payment Request for the previous program year.

April 30: Enrolment Notice Submission and fee payment deadline for the current year. Fees and penalties for recurring participants are automatically incurred and owing after April 30th. 

• New participants must sign the current year's enrolment notice and pay the fee to avoid late-payment penalty;
• Previous year participants must pay the fee for the current year, to avoid late-payment penalty;
• To cancel participation, sign and return the "Opt Out" form for the current year or fees plus late payment penalty will apply.

June 30:

Deadline to submit for the current AgriStability program year:

• Tax-Aligned Consent Form to opt for a tax-aligned reference margin calculation.
• Intended Productive Capacity Form if you already opted for a tax-aligned reference margin calculation.

File and submission deadline for previous AgriStability program year:

• Income and Expense Statements:
  • Individuals and partners: File statements with Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) using the T1163 form "Statement A - AgriStability Program Information and Statement of Farming Activities for Individuals".
  • Corporations: Submit farming income and expense information directly to the P.E.I. AgriStability office using "Statement A - Corporate Form".
• Supplemental Forms: All producers submit completed "Supplemental Forms" to P.E.I. AgriStability office.
  • New participants should contact AgriStability administration office before submitting supplemental forms.

Late submission penalties: AgriStability income and expense forms, and supplemental forms are due June 30th but will be accepted until September 30th with penalties as follows: 

• July 1-31st: Penalty $500
• August 1-31st: Penalty $1,000
• September 1-31st: Penalty $1,500

September 30: Final date for late submission with penalty for forms that were due June 30th, or not eligible for that program year.

December 31: Final deadline to pay program fees with penalty for the current year (20% surcharge) or not eligible to participate for current year.

All forms can be submitted to the AgriStability office by mail, in person, by fax to 902-836-8912 or by email to AICStability@gov.pe.ca.

Fee Payments

Producers may submit AgriStability payments as follows:

Online

To process payments through financial institution, add P.E.I. Agricultural Insurance Corporation to your online banking payee list. Please use your AgriStability PIN as your account number.

Fees under $25,000 are payable through e-transfer to AICInsurance@gov.pe.ca. To ensure accurate processing, you must include your AgriStability/AgriInvest PIN in the e-transfer message box.

In-person

Cheques payable to P.E.I. Agricultural Insurance Corporation-AgriStability can be dropped off at the Kensington office during office hours or in the drop box, or at any Access PEI location.

By Mail
