What is the budget?

The operating budget is the estimates of revenue and expenditure that detail spending plans by the Government of Prince Edward Island to operate each department for the next fiscal year.

What is the Capital Budget?

The Capital Budget is a forecast of spending for infrastructure and capital projects such as roads and bridges, public buildings, and equipment. Unlike the Operating Budget, which is delivered each spring, the Capital Budget is delivered each fall in the Legislative Assembly.

The 2017-2018 Capital Budget Estimates outlines government’s current priorities for capital and infrastructure investments and the capital plan for the next five years.
