Driver Improvement Course

Under the Highway Traffic Act, any driver suspended under the Demerit Point System is required to complete a Driver Improvement Course within six months following reinstatement of their driver’s license.

The purpose of this course is to upgrade driving skill and improve driver attitude towards accepting responsibility and obeying traffic laws.

How long is the course?

The Driver Improvement Course consists of four two-hour classroom sessions with lectures, films and discussion. You must pass a test at the end of the course.
