Pesticide Purchase Permit

Anyone that wants to buy a commercial, restricted or agricultural class pesticide that does not possess a Pesticide Applicator Certificate, must first obtain a Pesticide Purchase Permit.
What are the requirements?
To obtain a Pesticide Purchase Permit, you must
- be at least 18 years of age;
- either:
- hold a Pesticide Application Business Licence; or
- be an operator of an agricultural operation or golf course that employs at least one person who holds a Pesticide Applicator Certificate; and
- submit a completed Pesticide Purchase Permit Application Form.
What are the fees?
$50 per year. There is no HST.
Payments may be made by cash, cheque or credit card. Make cheques payable to the Minister of Finance.
When does a pesticide purchase permit expire?
This permit expires on December 31 of the year it was issued or once the business or operator no longer employs someone with a valid Pesticide Applicator Certificate. This permit must be renewed each year.
