Government of PEI Internship Program

Program Overview

The internship is a one-year temporary job assignment, supplemented by various learning and development opportunities including workshops, networking, and more. The internship program is designed to support interns in growing their skills and knowledge of government. 

Interns can expect to attend workshops in the areas of career planning, conflict management, EDI and Anti-Racism in the workplace, emotional intelligence, understanding government job eligibility and much more to help build a solid foundation for working in the civil service. 

Eligibility

You are eligible to apply if you:

  • Are a Canadian citizen, permanent resident or eligible for a work permit.
  • Have completed a post-secondary program within the last 36 months.

Internship Length

Internships will be for one-year temporary assignments starting each May.
