Out-of-Province Liaison Program

If you require out-of-province medical treatment, a PEI liaison nurse can be a helpful resource for you and your family.

What will a PEI liaison nurse do for me?

A PEI liaison nurse is a registered nurse who can:

  • connect you to other health care professionals;
  • connect you to programs and services that are available; and
  • assist with your discharge from an out-of-province hospital.

What are the requirements?

You must have a valid PEI Health Card, and require emergency services or have obtained prior approval for an out-of-province medical service.

What other information is available?
