If you require out-of-province medical treatment, a PEI liaison nurse can be a helpful resource for you and your family.
What will a PEI liaison nurse do for me?
A PEI liaison nurse is a registered nurse who can:
- connect you to other health care professionals;
- connect you to programs and services that are available; and
- assist with your discharge from an out-of-province hospital.
What are the requirements?
You must have a valid PEI Health Card, and require emergency services or have obtained prior approval for an out-of-province medical service.
