Where can I find Royal Gazette Volumes and Indices online?

Volumes and Indices are available online through the Royal Gazette Search dating back to January 1999. They are also available by subscription or at most public libraries across the province.

The Royal Gazette of Prince Edward Island is the official newspaper of the provincial government and is issued each week. It consists of two parts: Notices and Regulations. 

How do I find a specific Royal Gazette Volume or Index through search?

The Royal Gazette Volumes and Indices are listed on the search page in order by most recently added.

You can filter the list by volumes by clicking on Royal Gazette or by indices by clicking on Royal Gazette Index under Type. 

The years listed under Published Date allow you to filter results by a specific year. When you select a year, you can then select a specific month to refine the results.

You can also search by keyword or by volume or index title in the Search box.

Where can I find Royal Gazette Volumes and Indices prior to 1999?

Print copies of most Royal Gazette Volumes and Indices prior to 1999 are available for in library use only (not available for loan) at the Charlottetown Library Learning Centre.

Call the Charlottetown Library Learning Centre at (902) 368-4642 or email the library to ensure the volume or index you are looking for is available.

Back issues of Royal Gazette Volumes are also available at the Public Archives and Records Office. Print copies are available from 1939 to the present along with microfilm copies from 1830 to 1980. Material at the Public Archives is not available for loan but may be viewed on-site. Call (902) 368-4290 or email for more information.
