Provincial government boards welcome new members in March
Through Engage PEI, government continues to connect Islanders with opportunities to get involved.
In March, 14 people were appointed to two provincial government agencies, boards and commissions. With over 70 boards, no matter where interests lie - in community, the arts, or other domains - Islanders can contribute based on their skills, interests and availability.
“Islanders’ sense of community and their ambitious and engaged nature are an essential part of what makes Prince Edward Island a mighty Island,” said Premier Wade MacLauchlan. “In the last two years, through Engage PEI, hundreds of Islanders have had the opportunity to contribute to various provincial government boards.
“We recognize and thank them for their ongoing engagement and collaboration as we continue to realize our province’s full potential.”
Every month, up to 20 vacancies may be available. The Acadian and Francophone Community Advisory Committee, the Board of Directors of Ars Longa Inc. (The Guild), and the Canadian Free Trade Agreement Compliance and Appellate Panel are examples of provincial government boards, agencies and commissions currently seeking new members.
