About the Board of Governors of the University of Prince Edward Island

As outlined in the University Act, the management, administration and control of the property, revenue, business and affairs of the University of Prince Edward Island (UPEI) are vested in the Board.

A number of Islanders (9) who serve on the UPEI Board of Governors are appointed from among individuals who apply through Engage PEI.
