New GeoLinc Plus Migration – FAQ’s

When will the new GeoLinc Plus become live?

The anticipated launch date for the new GeoLinc Plus service is November 1, 2022.

How much will the new GeoLinc Plus cost?

The new fee for the subscription-based model will be $18 per 30-day period, including HST. Subscribers will be able to subscribe for any number of 30-day periods. Subscriptions can be paid online by credit card.

I don’t have a credit card.  Is there another way I can pay?

I am an existing user of GeoLinc Plus – what will happen to my current account?

A letter outlining the migration details for existing account holders was mailed September 1, 2022. If you have not received this letter by September 9, 2022, please email to find out what the migration plan for your account is.

A brief overview of the migration plan is as follows:

  • Individual users with an active account and positive balance will be automatically migrated to the new GeoLinc Plus, with your remaining balance being equated and converted into the appropriate amount of subscription months.
  • Individual users with an inactive account or a zero balance will not be automatically migrated to the new GeoLinc Plus. Accounts will be cancelled, and users can subscribe for a new account if they wish to access in the future.
  • Multi-user accounts will not be automatically migrated to the new GeoLinc Plus. Accounts will be cancelled and individual users can subscribe for a new account if they need access in the future.

I have an inactive GeoLinc Plus account, but I want to be migrated to the new system.  How do I get migrated to the new GeoLinc Plus account?

Inactive users can activate their account by logging in prior to October 31, 2022 and ensuring they have a positive balance on their account.

I think I registered for a GeoLinc Plus account but I’m not sure.  How do I find out if I have an account and still have a balance?

You can email to find out if you have an account and verify the balance.

What happens if I don’t want to get a new GeoLinc Plus account?

You can terminate your agreement by giving written notice to PEI Taxation and Property Records prior to October 28, 2022. If you have a balance on your account at the time of termination, you may request a refund by completing the Refund Request form and Vendor Registration form.

How long will it take to get the balance of my account refunded?

Refunds will be processed beginning November 1, 2022.  It will take approximately 4 to 6 weeks for your refund to be processed and paid.  All payments will be made electronically – please ensure that the Payee Registration form is completed correctly as an incomplete form will delay processing.
