Information sessions being held on Cornwall perimeter highway

The route and scheduling of the Cornwall perimeter highway will be discussed during three upcoming information sessions, says Transportation, Infrastructure and Energy Minister Paula Biggar.

“Multiple route options were assessed and the preferred alignment was identified by an independent consultant based on a number of factors, including social, economic and environmental considerations,“ said Minister Biggar. “This project fulfills a longstanding request by Cornwall residents, and will open up new development opportunities for the town.”

Next week, separate information sessions will be held for the owners of property that need to be acquired and with interested business owners. Invitations to both groups are now being issued. Business owners in the area who do not receive an invitation and wish to attend may call (902) 368-5100 for details.

An information session for the general public will be held on Tuesday, September 13 from 7 to 9 p.m. at the APM Centre.
