New members joining government boards
Through Engage PEI, Islanders continue to share their knowledge and skills to make meaningful contributions to their communities.
In the month of October, thirteen Islanders were welcomed to five government agencies, boards and commissions.
"Islanders are dedicated people who like to get involved to share their insights and ideas. The commitment every member makes is a testament to who we are as Islanders and how we want to make our communities the very best they can be."
- Premier Dennis King
"I want to thank current and past members that have ever been part of these agencies, boards and commissions. Your contributions play an important part in pushing us forward so our province can reach its fullest potential."
There are over 70 government boards across multiple sectors that Islanders can join. Some of the boards currently seeking new members are:
- Charlottetown Area Development Corporation
- Premier’s Action Committee on Family Violence Prevention
- Learning Partners Advisory Council
Islanders are encouraged to apply through Engage PEI to one of many vacancies that come up every month. For more information, visit: Upcoming Vacancies for Agencies, Boards or Commissions.
