The application process for summer student employment is open until March 22, 2021. The rate of pay starts at $14.94.

Who can apply?

For the purpose of this competition, you must be a full-time (minimum of three courses) post-secondary, university or college student, with at least one year of completed study by summer 2021, and with the intention to continue your education in fall 2021.

What are the duties?

Duties include providing visitors with an information service and promoting Prince Edward Island as the destination of choice. You should be friendly, outgoing, mature, and enjoy working with the public. Bilingualism and knowledge of Prince Edward Island's diverse tourism products are definite assets.

What do I need to apply?

When you are filling in the form, you should have your resume available so that you can enter such information as:

• university/college
• degree program
• dates started and completed
• work/volunteer experience, including
  • employer's name
  • description of duties
  • dates of employment
• skills, and references.

You will also be able to upload your resume in either .doc or .txt format.

What happens after I apply?

• Applications are sorted by region and job preference.
• Potential candidates are called for an interview.
• Typically, positions are filled no later than June 1st.
• Student positions run for 8 to 10 weeks, starting by late June to late August.
