Psychologist Incentive Program

The Prince Edward Island (PEI) Psychologist Incentive Program provides a financial incentive to Psychologists. It is meant to attract and retain qualified health professionals to the PEI health care system to provide quality care to Islanders.

Eligibility:

Who is eligible for the Psychology Incentive Program?

Psychologists who:

• receive a permanent full-time employment offer as a Psychologist with Health PEI;
• are legally entitled to work in Canada;
• are not employees of Health PEI nor the Province of Prince Edward Island, at the time of application; and
• are eligible for registration with the PEI Psychologists Registration Board.

Incentive:

A one-time financial incentive of $15,000 is available.

Is there a return-in-service commitment?

Yes, there is a 3,900 working hour return-in-service agreement that must be signed by the applicant and the employer prior to the commencement of work and prior to the incentive being issued.
